Live version of Rehab on new compilation

Rehab (Demot O'Leary session) by amywinehousedotcom

There's a new compilation out this week which features a live version of Amy's Rehab track. Click above to hear a clip of the track, which appears on the Dermot O'Leary Presents The Saturday Sessionsalbum.

We asked Ben Walker, producer of Dermot's BBC Radio 2 radio show, for his memories of Amy's session, which she performed live for the show in Sept 2006:

"I'm pretty sure it was the first bit of promotion Amy had done for the Back To Black campaign, so it's a chance to hear her before she sang the song a million times. It certainly blew us away."

If you like the sound of it, then click the links below to check out the 40-track album or buy your copy.

Amy Winehouse's Dad Releases Album

The father of Amy Winehouse has just launched a new jazz album entitled A Rush Of Love To The Heart.

Mitch Winehouse, 60, who is a London cab driver, presented the jazz LP at Pizza On The Park in London yesterday, as Metro Newspaper reports.

Mitch said: "Of course, I wouldn't be in this position without Amy, but now the opportunity is there, why not take it? My father owned a barber shop in Commercial Street and my mother had a hairdressers at the back of it. We lived above this place with aunties, uncles, grandparents, great grandparents.

"Every floor had different music. We were singing all the time. Amy had a very similar upbringing - always aunties, uncles, grandparents and friends around, and always music."

Amy Winehouse Taking Blake To Cuba

Amy Winehouse is reportedly taking estranged hubby Blake Fielder Civil on holiday to Cuba.

The Rehab singer, who got back together with Blake after they divorced last August, has allegedly decided to mark their reunion with a romantic trip to Havana once his court ordered curfew has ended.

Amy is thought to have chosen Cuba as their chosen holiday destination after the couple have found a new interest in cigar smoking.

A source told The Sun: "Smoking cigars is their new thing. It all started when Amy bought a pack of Romeo y Julieta for Blake, because she thinks they're also tragic lovers."

"Amy and Blake have been spending their time reading up on the history and the culture behind them and followed it to Cuba. She thinks there's a kind of romance to it and would love to go there with Blake."

The insider continued: "She wants to go away to celebrate them being back together properly. It will be their 'second honeymoon'. As soon as his curfew allows, they'll be off."

The 26-year old singer, who recently purchased a new home in London to share with Blake once his drug rehab treatment in Sheffield is over has also paid Soho club owner Sam Shaker to paint a picture of them together to mark their union.

Sam, who has previously painted for Amy's family, stated: "She said she loved the paintings and gave me more pictures, including one of her with Blake."

"When they came to see them she took Blake by the hand and showed him the paintings. He said they were beautiful."

Wino & Ronson Record Three Songs

Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson have recorded three tracks together.

However the music looks set for a tribute album to legendary producer Quincy Jones, rather than the star’s own solo disc.
Ronson recently revealed that he was in the studio with wayward Wino and that fans could expect something soon.
However it looks unlikely to be something from her own album. Amy’s dad Mitch said: “Over the weekend she did three tracks for Quincy Jones. She's doing great.”
Winehouse’s follow up to Back To Black is long delayed, although she did reportedly record some songs for the record in St Lucia last year.

Mark Ronson Working With Winehouse Again

Mark Ronson is working with Amy Winehouse on new material, he’s revealed.
The last time the producer and singer entered the studio was to work on the theme for Bond movie Quantum Of Solace. The sessions were aborted because Amy was too out of it to come up with a decent track.
It was then reported that the pair had fallen out and were unlikely to work together on Wino’s third disc.
But now it seems they’ve made up. Mark told The Sun they were hard at work and said: “There'll be something to hear quite soon. That's all I can say. There's something good coming.”
Winehouse has also been recording with Salaam Remi (Nas/ The Fugees)- who like Ronson contributed to both her Back To Black and Frank albums.

Amy Winehouse Wants Usher Duet? e

Reports suggest the Rehab star has phoned US singer for a collaboration...

Amy Winehouse has allegedly asked R n B star Usher if he would consider collaborating with her.

The Back To Black singer, who is currently working on her eagerly awaited third LP reportedly phoned Usher to ask him to duet with her on a new track.

A source told the Daily Star: "Amy personally called Usher after asking her people to get his number. He was shocked to hear some Cockney girl chatting away but finally believed it was Amy when she sang for him."

The insider added: "Amy wants to release a song with him and her god-daughter Dionne Broomfield is desperate for the pair to perform together."

It is unclear whether the OMG singer, who is currently number 1 in the US album chart with new LP Raymond Vs. Raymond will take Amy up on her offer.

Wino, 26 has been working on her new album for sometime after reports suggest that some of the album tracks had to be scrapped as they were 'too negative' towards ex-hubby Blake Fielder-Civil, who the singer has since reconciled with.
